Who We Are 🐴
Hudson Valley Equine Center is supported by a leadership team with both professional certification and lived experience in animal-assisted and equine-supported work.
One team member is a certified Animal-Assisted Therapy team handler and Pet Partners Evaluator, ensuring nationally recognized standards of safety, ethical practice, animal welfare, and thoughtful program design.
The center is also guided by an experienced Veteran, whose personal journey includes training in and implementing equine-supported approaches throughout her life and professional successes. Her lived experience shapes the heart of the program, emphasizing mindfulness, restorative work, respect, and consistency.
Together, this combination of certification, evaluation expertise, lived experience, and agricultural stewardshipinforms a program that is intentional, inclusive, and grounded. While our offerings are non-clinical, they are guided by best practices and a strong commitment to safety, dignity, and meaningful connection—for both people and animals.
