First, You'll Meet Your Companions

Before we go hiking with goats, we'll take you to meet our herd. Don't worry; they're very sweet-natured and are always happy to meet our new visitors. If our four-legged companions happen to rub their heads against you when you're greeting them, you've gotten their stamp of approval.

Did you know that when you walk with a herd of goats, they think you're part of their herd? Goats have been domesticated for almost 6,000 years and take great pleasure in forming relationships with their human caregivers. As a result, they tend to be affectionate toward us.

We'll give you a brief history of our herd during our introduction. We'll introduce each goat's background, their BFFs, and daily life on the farm.

Then We'll Walk The Trails 

Your goat walk will begin after our goat meet and greet. You'll stroll around our picturesque meadows with your very own goat on a lead, and you'll get to see our Shetland sheep, llamas, alpacas, donkeys grazing in the distance.

While you're walking with goats, we encourage you to take everything in. It's a holistic experience. Enjoy nature, and the fresh air, wave at our llamas, donkeys and alpacas – pet them even, and revel in the giddy energy our little goats tend to have.

They'll more than likely lead the hike as they'll find weeds and various fresh plants to graze. After all, the goat walk is about an hour (walking approximately a half mile), and we'll be going at 'goat' speed.

Hiking with goats is an adventure that allows you to tour the farm with a herd of friendly, personable goats and meet their buddies throughout your hike. We hope you enjoy your immersive animal experience, designed to engage the young at age and heart. Arrive early or stay late to browse our Farm Store. You're bound to see many keepsakes there. We also harvest fleece from our animals as the seasons change and use this harvest to create soft, supple yarn.

And Experience A Great Place For Family And Friends

It's a beautiful opportunity to bond with children and your family. The relaxing, immersive experience fosters communication and collaboration to have a perfect time.

We do have a strict age restriction. Persons ages five and upwards are allowed to participate in the goat walking excursion. No strollers or outside animals are permitted. Everyone coming into the event needs to purchase a ticket. No one may accompany you on your trip as a tagalong. Tickets that allow you to share are available for purchase—however, no more than two people per goat.

Safety First

Because this is an outdoor event with no designated heated areas, we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and layers suited for the weather. Throughout the year, guests may participate in a goat stroll. We reserve the right to cancel the event and provide a full refund to all registered participants if bad weather or dangerous conditions develop. Please note that Clover Brooke Farm is not located in Pawling, NY. Hyde Park, New York, is home to Clover Brooke Farm.
