Soap classes in NY fill up quickly!
Join our beginner's soap-making workshop if you're ready to get started but would need a little hands-on guidance.
The Ingredients Are In Your Pantry
By the end of this course, you'll be able to make your own soap bar in the comfort of your kitchen. Just follow our step-by-step guide to the classic cold process technique of soap-making using all-natural items in your pantry.
We'll get into our basic soap recipes and talk about everything from setting up a soap-making station to using the right tools and being careful around sodium hydroxide-lye, the critical ingredient in soap making.
In this practical class, you'll learn about the benefits of making soap from scratch using traditional plant oils (no palm oil). These leave your skin feeling soft and looking radiant. Soaps with harsh detergents, which may dry out the skin and create inflammation, are out.
A Rewarding Experience In A Supportive Community
Making soap from scratch is a rewarding experience for everyone, even if you have no previous experience in the art. You're welcome to participate actively in a supportive learning community. Making soap is a pastime like any other; you may easily spend a lot of money on it (don't say we didn't warn you).
In comparison, the cost for this session includes everything you need to make your first batch of soap, including a starter kit. In this lesson, you will learn how to make soap using only a few necessities; a 42-ounce silicone soap loaf mold, a wooden box with a wooden top, a mixing bowl, a spatula, measuring cups, a soap cutter, and other supplies. Additionally, there will be pages of recipes, helpful hints, and instructions for making one-of-a-kind presents for loved ones.
