Learn on the Farm

Welcoming homeschool groups, public/private schools, learning pods and youth groups.

Love and Livestock

What would my life be like if I were an animal at Clover Brooke Farm?

Learners will choose one animal from list that they want to ‘shadow’ at the farm. Learners will be responsible for observing, writing or sketching a ‘day in the life’.

Focus on developing skill observation, inquiry, exploration while practicing empathy and curiosity of their chosen animal followed by creating an Animal (Self) Portrait during their time at the farm.

Farm Scavenger Hunt

What roles does interdependency, biodiversity and regenerative farming play on a farms ecosystem?

Learners will take a guided walk with the Farmer, to see and learn about the relationships between farmer, landscape, animals and plants. We will encourage curiosity, exploration and the importance of being a regenerative farmer. We will provide a Scavenger List for learners to complete along the walk, while learning the benefits of an interdependence detective.

Animal Fiber Forensics

What is fiber? Is it fleece, hair or wool and what are the differences between Animal, Plant and/or Synthetic materials?

Learners will tour the farm on a ‘Feel the Fleece’ walk, meeting our very friendly Llamas/Alpaca/Sheep and Pygora goats and experience the many different qualities of each.

We will gather in the pavilion and each learner will learn how to wet felt their own bar of soap, using the fiber from the animals and handcrafted soap made at the farm.

Classes consist of socially distance sensory tours of our educational farm, ranging 90-120 minutes each, supplies and materials are provided for each registered learner, welcoming groups up to 30 participants.

Service oriented projects are available for older groups that want to get their hands dirty.
